Spring tree has 1" flowers in clusters. The Chanticleer Pear is a very good street tree because of nearly no litter. It's adaptable to many soils and tolerates pollution and salt fairly well. It has a uniform habit and has good resistance to diseases and storm damage. The fruits persist on the tree into winter to feed birds and other wildlife.
