Tree Farm Tours

Tate's Trees welcomes tour groups to our farms

Whether you're involved with a school group, scouts, or just looking for a family outing, we have a tour for you!

We provide:

    • Christmas Tree Farm Tours - Available Year-round

    We will explain the entire stage of a Christmas tree from seedling to how it reaches your living room for Christmas, covering the entire process of growing the tree. We show how we harvest, shake the needles out, and bale it for transportation. And we educate how to keep the Christmas tree "fresh" once it leaves the farm.

    Nursery Tree Farm Tours - Available April-May and August-October

    We will explain how the trees are planted and maintained, demonstrating how we dig the trees out and cover their ball of roots with burlap so they survive the trip to being planted in someone's yard. We show how we transport the trees, which can be over 1000 pounds! We also explain how to plant the trees and shrubs. With this tour, you can also enjoy a free hayride, refreshments, and a free seedling to all participants.

    Prices

    • Groups 5 or less - $15 per person
    • 6 to 29 people - $8 per person
    • 30 to 59 people - $5 per person
