Balsam Fir
This variety is the most fragrant of all species. The needle retention is good, but not as good as Fraser Fir. The needles are ½" to 1½" long, flat, dark green with a silvery cast, and rounded at the tip. This is the traditional Christmas tree that most Americans grew up with.
